Favourite photographs of 2016

I know everyone says it, but we can’t believe we’re already in January 2017! Whilst preparation is already in place for all the lovely weddings we’ve got to look forward to this year, we thought it would be a nice opportunity to have a look at some of our favourite moments of 2016.

It was a fantastic year – we captured some amazing weddings in some stunning locations. From grand country houses and country clubs including Cliveden, Stoke Park and Danesfield House to the more intimate venues such as Stoke Place, The Kings Arms, and Lillibrooke Manor, we’ve even photographed a stunning wedding in a field! Having exclusive use at  Northfield House and Hampden House gave us fantastic creative freedom, who would ever think of photographing the bridal party in the loo?!  City venues of The Reform Club and The Caledonian Club gave us the excitement of dashing through London and the privilege of photographing in two of London’s most historic buildings.  All of our the venues and more importantly, all of our couples, have been really special and we’ve enjoyed every one so much – we have been so lucky!

We’ve pretty much seen it all: bridesmaids who flew in from Australia who couldn’t believe they were getting sunburnt in England, a two year old flower girl dressed like a princess in the same dress as her mummy, organised duck herding and a bride being walked down the aisle by both her dad and grandad. We have seen girls marry boys, girls marry girls and boys marry boys and it’s been lovely to see a lot of our previous brides and grooms watching their friends and family getting married. Thank you for all of the referrals!

From the wedding where the best man asked the groom to be his new baby’s godfather during his speech (the same wedding where we took the bridal party photo in the girls toilets!) to watching one couple’s little girls giving a speech about how happy they were their parents had got married. We have felt absolutely privileged to be part of such special moments and have cried a lot (and I mean a lot!) of happy tears!

Here are some of our favourites images from the year. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

* This definitely isn’t all of them – there are many more that we absolutely love, but there’s just too many to put in one album….
