Siobhan & James Apr 2016 Hampden House

Hampden House, Buckinghamshire

I cry at every one of our weddings! There’s something so special about being with the bride and grooms in the morning when they’re getting ready, and witnessing first hand the real raw emotion that everyone experiences on their wedding day, then being so close to them when they’re saying their vows and being party to the intimate half hour on their own for the pictures. It is an absolute privilege to experience, and it means that by the time the speeches come around, if anyone says anything nice (they usually do!) I shed a few happy tears. I do cry at every one, but Siobhan and James’s best man’s speech had me crying even more than normal, when he asked James to be his brand new baby daughter’s godfather! Such an amazingly special way to ask! I expect there wasn’t a dry eye in the house…..

Siobhan and James got married in a beautiful village church, with the sun shining brightly, and then moved on to Hampden House in Buckinghamshire, an absolutely stunning Grade 1 listed country house estate. There were so many fun nooks and crannies to photograph in, plus a grand hall complete with minstrels gallery and staircase. Even the toilets were impressive – although it was hilarious getting all the boys in there for the group shot!

The boys looked fabulous in their tuxes and the girls looked like gorgeous Greek goddesses. Siobhan had the most perfect princess dress – together with James in his DJ, it was pure Hollywood glamour! Such a beautiful day, as you can see from the pictures……
