Pantone’s Colour’s of the Year

So with every year, Pantone release their colour of the year, well 2016 has 2! Clearly Pantone were feeling generous this year. Pantone’s Colour’s of the Year are Rose Quartz and Serenity.

Rose Quartz is a beautiful pale but warm pink – somewhere in between baby pink and dusty pink. It is a beautifully soft, romantic colour and one that is bound to be perfect for weddings this year. It works well mixed with blush tones and a mixture of pink hues. It also works well with the other colour of the year, Serenity – possibly why Pantone chose 2.

Serenity is, as you can imagine, a cool and calm colour. It’s a soft pale blue, close to perriwinkle and well, lets face it, if you choose this, your something blue is sorted! Working well for winter or spring weddings, Serenity offers a calm and clean approach to wedding colour theme.

We’re not sure which we prefer! We love the traditional and romantic pink and for a spring and summer wedding, we think this could be perfect; in florals and perhaps even the fashion, pink hues featured throughout are dreamy. Mixed with metallics offered a glam and luxe touch. On the flip side, Serenity looks classy and again used in florals and perhaps the stationery could add that elegant touch to proceedings.
